 Charter Cable
« Thread Started on Jul 22, 2008, 9:48am »

Neighbors--you may be wondering about the orange cable outside our fence at 1124 Brook Arbor Dr. Well.......I've been back and forth with Charter for about 3 weeks to bury this cable, and the Best part is I don't even have cable. Last week a Charter rep. came to my house on 2 different days to let me know they would be burying the cable, but no one showed up. The latest story is they will put in a new work order to bury the cable in about 3-4 weeks, this is after a 45 minute call with them yesterday. In addition the original 2 technicians who are responsible for just throwing the cable out there damaged my fence and gate. So to all my neighbors who have Charter they are UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!

hnsufdh,

Welcome to the club! My gripe with Charter goes back years and, after 3-1/2 years of horrible service, I finally dumped them for DirecTV.

See: http://arbors.proboards106.com/index.cgi?board=mu&action=display&thread=22

I have a 6-foot ladder in my master bedroom closet that I have nicknamed "The Charter Ladder" because every time the Charter tech wanted access to my attic, instead of going out to his truck, he'd ask me for a ladder. Thus, I had to go to the garage and get my 8-footer. Eventually, I just bought a 6-footer and keep it in the closet.

Also, they still owe me $200 refund from my account that I closed last February. They keep telling me it's in the mail.

Interesting...Charter came to my door about a week ago stating they were here to "update" my cable. I said NO, not here. I dont have Charter, I have Direct TV.

They showed me a work order with my address, but it had the previous owners name....oh so thats simple right? Not really, we have lived in this house 5 years now!

Sounds to me like Charter doesnt know which end is up and thats why we see the orange cable....
